Yeah, how dare that bastard seeker try to inject any sense of rationality into the discussion. What was he thinking?

I don't think pantheists believe what you seem to think they believe. Pantheists think pretty much as you do, that god actually is everything and that reality is all a sort of emanation of God rather than a creation per se. Basically they just didn't have the QM terminology to throw around. See... ...

No it's not. To people who understand astronomy, as these people did, reversing the sun's decline is impossible, and not just because they didn't have the power to do it. When the sun ascends, it's not a reverse of anything - it doesn't go backwards. It's an onward, forward ascension as it passes t...

Your missing the point. It isn't only "parents." It is all adults in the group. I had hoped to do this without having to type out Dawkins' whole idea but, guess not. From Page 174 of The God Delusion. My specific hypothesis is about children. More than any other species, we survive by the...

You misunderstood the source. They weren't trying to stop the sun declining, only to make sure it ascended at the appropriate time (which it always did). You must have just skimmed the source I posted. It reads "to reverse the sun declining at the winter solstice" not to make sure the sun...

Self Reliance is only learned after a long dependent period. But you have to survive long enough to develop self-reliance. Hence his assertion that people who have learned to listen to advice from their elders have a natural advantage over those who run off into the woods to play with the bears. Th...

Pantheism is the notion that God is everything (and everyone). If you aren't saying we are all part of the same god and we aren't separate gods then what is your concept?

I think war arrow may have a really good point here. When we start talking about God its easy to forget that this is really an undefined concept. If we are gods then what is God? Well, I don't know if you're referring to my theory ... but in mine, we are not gods, we are God. Do you mean that in th...

I think Dawkins is off by one step in this though. It isn't just natural selection but psychological conditioning. Mom and Dad are bigger, faster, stronger and wiser in a significant way. Self Reliance is only learned after a long dependent period. Ish- Its kind of a chicken or egg argument. Did man...
