Archaeologists are Doctors?
This question may be a bit random but through researching different archaeologists, I have noticed that a lot of them are referred to as Doctors. What I want to know is does an archaeologist become recognized as a doctor through earning a degree in the field?

*Spoiler* Write about what is familiar to you... It makes for a better story... Well I already have a lot of the characters planned out and I at least have a vague idea about what direction I want this story to take, I just need to do a lot more research. I do plan on taking some creative liberties...
