Re: An Interesting Point of View
It sounds like you are beating it, and I hope you do. I figure that if I ever get cancer, I may not fight it. I may let it take its course. My wife has had a bad cough for some time but she refuses to go to the hospital or the doctor's to get it checked out.

Minimalist-- I do not have enough posts to reply to your PM but I am sorry to hear that. Will you get any surgery? My wife still thinks highly of you for helping us when you did.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbAdhglrH3U
It is an excerpt from a longer interview, but I found this guy to be quite on target and credible, so far

Re: Is Science a Religion?
I do not see how this is a wrong topic or in the wrong place. Archaeology is called a science and those that participate in this field of research use a lot of faith on both sides of any debate or discussion about the past.

Re: Religious thought
Arch was a particular brand of fundie nut. I still chat with him on his board. We actually agree on a lot of stuff as long as we stay away from his nutty bible stuff. The biggest problem the bible has is that Protestant Reformers saddled it with a burden that no ancient text could possibly withstan...

Re: Ancient Mystery?

When I made a similar remark under a different article, one person who responded told me that his archaeology professor taught the students to do that. He said the professor said 'if you do not understand it, make it religious' ...
