Re: Idaho, huh?
I've read articles & papers where 'Clovis Firsters' were working on Clovis sites... They stopped & dug no further after clearing the Clovis layers... instead of continuing until they cleared all the way to sterile layers... That, of course, was because there was 'nothing to find' below the ...

Re: Ancient Footprint Identified in Chile
"Early human occupation in southern South America (Patagonia) has been the focus of intense debate over the recent years. Current detailed chronologies show that human presence in the area can be traced back as far as ∼15 kyr [2,10] with a period of ∼3500 years of coexistence with extinct mega...

Re: climate-change-and-cahokia
Here's my two cents worth... Humankind, in its inexhaustible arrogance, has deemed that if this planet is rendered uninhabitable to such an extent that all humans will perish, then the planet will naturally be kaput... Yet... How many humongous extinction events has this planet experienced in its e...

Re: climate-change-and-cahokia
I thought man caused change was a fake when Al G first brought it up. In spite of our egos, we are just to small to affect something so big. Henry Ford made the automobile affordable, and therefore affordable to the masses, by applying assembly line technology to the production of automobiles. Addr...

Re: Massive Impact Crater Found In Greenland
Thanks, Min! Great YouTube video at this link. There seems to be a very good chance that the Cape York iron meteorites, which were known to, and used to fashion iron tools by, Eskimos, are related to this crater.

Re: Massive Impact Crater Found In Greenland
It surely is an impact crater, but on site mineral analysis awaits to confirm. The timeline is c.12,000-3,000,000 years, so it's understandable that hope it's a Younger Dryas impact crater is high, but it's a big date range, until it isn't. I doubt there will be any shortage of funding to answer tho...
