If You Have An Hour To Kill

Re: North Face Corridor or Chamber
I saw the report. It looks just like the relieving chamber above the King's Chamber - angled stones to disperse the weight. I'm more amazed that they had the engineering sense to know that they needed to relieve the stress on the lower stones than the fact that it is there. At least they didn't use ...

Re: Homo naledi had fire [!]
There is always the chance - actually the great likelihood - that human evolution was not linear. Some scattered groups may have made advances far earlier than others but then died out for one reason or another.
We will never unravel this entire mystery.

Hello, Tang.
Well, "proof" is for mathematicians. Here we can consider the totality of evidence.
Do you have any scientific evaluation to share? That would be a good starting point.

Re: Archaeology is where you find it.
If the dating of that artifact is correct then it is Middle Bronze Age c 1650 BCE which is about 2 centuries before Egyptian control of Canaan was cemented by Thutmosis III. Of course that has nothing to do with trade so what you suggest is possible. We do know for certain that there were extensive ...

Re: Italy unearths exceptional haul of ancient bronzes
Rome pretty much dominated the Italian Peninsula, south of the Po, after the Battle of Sentinum in 295 BCE. The Etruscans were allied with the Samnites and a few others but after Sentinum they were a spent force. As was customary, The Romans absorbed them rather than destroy them.
