I do not understand.
What kind of meteorites are these?

Re: Nez Perce Indians more than hunter gathers?
None of this answers the question of if the Nez Perce were farmers, of any crop, or not.

Re: Nez Perce Indians more than hunter gathers?
More than the dates, I was interested in the concept of "cultivating tobacco”
That implies more than just finding and gathering wild plants.
And perhaps brings up the idea that they grew it for trade.
It is not just a warm area plant.
It is grown in Canada, just east of Detroit.

Re: Biggest archaeological excavation in UK history
I would have to say it is a case of take what you can get while you can. Face it, there would never be this kind of money spent just for archaeology's sake. Just hope the workers do call us every time they come across something. Make the finder a hero, not a villain for slowing up the project. I wou...

There will be complete careers, from graduation to retirement, based on some of what they find.

Re: Nice Find in the Black Sea
I do not think those are photos. They are sold models based on sonar returns. They are looking for funds for more work. That would mean actual deep water photos. the 1930's story brings up a question: Does that type of water allow flesh to decay? Are there scavengers in the water that would eat any ...

A remote location of impact has nothing to do with the importance of the event.
(Except. maybe, in the eyes of a US TV evening news editor.)
How many humans saw the Gulf of Mexico impact?

True.
But I thought they got the sequence wrong.
Living over there I would think she would referred to as an "American-Swede."
Over here she would be "Swedish-American."

Re: Lady of the Lake
I love the "Queen to be" idea.
Even if she is just a "Swedish-American "
In Sweden she should be able to get good grades and a scholarship out of it.
After all, it isn't her fault she was born in the USA.
