Re: Rocks with faces
Yo Brett! What the hell is an avocational archaeologist? Someone with zero real credentials & zero professional training? Inquiring minds want to know. Are you an armchair expert? Someone who trained himself because no-one can possibly know as much as you know??? It seems that you've set yourse...

Re: Rocks with faces
Your mental illness speaks for itself. Loudly, at great volume. Like some others, you have come here demanding or begging for validation. You're so desperate for validation that you're willing to believe that silence equals confirmation. You can easily get that validation from the fringe websites. ...

Re: Rocks with faces
I take it from the lack of contention, that generally the find is accepted as a modified stone with intent to create a figurative description, even though modification is very slight/subtle, Accepted? Really? That's really a stretch... You believe that you can say that your claims are accepted due ...

Re: Rocks with faces
I have no idea why you've fixated on the erroneous notion that fossilized mastodon, mammoth & walrus ivory is petrified or somehow converted to stone. In places where the permafrost never thaws completely, the ancient ivory doesn't truly fossilize. Artisans have used what is euphemistically cal...

Re: Rocks with faces
The item is made of fossilised mastodon bone from the Pliocene period, 5.2 million to 2.5 million years ago. Its Providence is from an old Bristol palaeontological collection. Although believed to be carved when the mastodon bone was already fossilized, examining the object I cannot possibly see ho...

Re: Rocks with faces
I suggest that you either shit or get off the pot. There's no sense in being coy. You either are what you claim to be or you are not. Pretty cut & dried. Prolonging the inevitable is silly. You want validation & recognition? Pony up or shut up. Your choice.

Re: Rocks with faces
Being sceptical is essential to being a good scientist, being open to ideas, and suggestions is also. There is little point for me to try to prove anything to you, you said you could not see something that I believe most would find easy to see. I only have more of the same things that require seein...

Re: Rocks with faces
One of the tuatara’s nicknames among scientists is “living fossil” because of its lack of evolutionary change. Because of the fact that it is not quite a lizard and not quite a dinosaur, New Zealand’s tuatara is one of the few truly unique animals left in the world. These reptiles may look like liz...

Re: Rocks with faces
Zero providence, BS, actual DR's and Professors of Archaeology picked up on my research, and published it.
Name the publication. The author(s). The issue number(s). The date 'published'...
Or... should we believe you just because you said so?

Re: Rocks with faces
I made it very very Clear I doubt Geology, And I have good reason for this, I would be very happy If geology was an exacting science, and could be trusted, particularly with dating, Because then I could more accurately date my finds. I told you I doubt the fossil record as being very useful as well...

Re: Rocks with faces
Tuatara are not dinosaurs. They are reptiles. Period. Full stop. Dinosaurs were highly specialized reptiles. They evolved long after the first reptiles evolved. Dinosaurs were never fully aquatic. Avian dinosaurs evolved near the end of the dinosaur era, even though there were also flying reptiles....

Re: Rocks with faces
Hmmm... Let's see... (Claims that are almost identical to springhead's claims) 1. Claims of deep, deep, DEEP antiquity 2. Zero provinance, but ya GOTTA believe because the rocks speak for themselves! (putative artifacts found in gravel deposits, from a MUCH earlier age... or will it be surface find...
