Kon Tiki Film on YouTube

Surfing around last night came across the Youtube link for the Academy Award winning film of the Kontiki voyage Stirring stuff for someone who read the book many time, has seen the raft and spent time on both the Eastern and South Pacific. No matter how Heyerdahl's theories shake out the voyage di h...

Ye Elephant hide is thick but as any Bushman knows one goes for the heel tendons to cripple then one kills the beast-full on assaults aren't part of the strategy.

'''pre-Columbian NA indians didn't even have shoes. Or the wheel. Or iron. Or wovens. Don't make them out to be more than they were. You're not doing veracity, history, or reality a favor. Re: Cloth-Clad Clovis

Agreed with what you say, but that is today. What came first? ....Yes, mired animals would have been killed, or left to die then scavenged, but how would they have been killed? It just struck me that you may never have killed anything in your whole life. Killing anything is easy enough, nick an art...

Pit traps and some decent sized rocks would do the trick, as would snares, nets and good old directed stampedes a-la Head Smashed In

The Mayas (sic) (most moved)
I must take exception-while it's true they moved most of them only moved back into the forest onto small plots of land away from the cities-they didn't migrate to new strange lands far over the horizon.

In fact most are still there today.

Re: Homo erectus could have evolved from Asia

Anyway, Sam, this is India and not China. I know they may all look the same to someone who's never been there, but I can assure you, they're not and in fact, they are deadly enemies. Madam-you have no clue where I've been and not been-nor do you know the teeming multicultural milieu I now live in. ...

I'm very very wary of an Asia-First Anything . Living in Vancouver a person is exposed to a lot of Chinese Govt propaganda, some quite blatant and some more subtle. One thing is sure-these are nasty nasty operators, swine of the lowest most odoriferous order who will use any pretense and excuse to f...

At least I've achieved the level of technological aptitude/power that enables me to view those great videos.

They're not perfect but so much info so alluring.

Thanks to everyone here for regularly mentioning the channel and helping me keep my focus.
