Not often that you get decent books about archaeogenetics ,never mind anything that is not full of woo and ill informed conjecture .
Might be worth looking out for this ,when the time comes , by a genuine expert in the field .

There is much rubbish and wind surrounding supposed DNA evidence. Fantastic claims seem to be made every day. Hopefully, this book will help clarify matters. Thanks for the recommendation

Archaoeogenetics is a fast moving a broad subject , with high quality peer reviewed papers appearing regularly .Sam Salmon wrote:I can only hope that some august & exalted personage posts the shining truth here for unter Menschen like me-what other hope do I have?
So your specific interests could be catered for .
Books on the subject are either dated by the time they get to publication or when written by the alt crowd/amateurs , best avoided .
Reich being one of the foremost experts , like Paabo before him , should provide a no nonsense insight into the subject .
Another recent book on the impact of the technology in archaeology is Alisdair Whittle's ,

"Peopling of the Americas" if only it had been stopped. Great missed opportunities of history
