About times the crimes of the psycho Franco were exposed. At least they were shot - a small mercy, he wasn't fond of women.

Simon, do you have a link to the story?
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

You can read accounts in Paul Preston's "The Spanish Holocaust". The fascists passed a law that if a family member escaped the death squads then other members of the family could be murdered.

Apparently one "commander" had his pregnant captives run up and down stairs until they aborted. Then they were shot - obviously you couldn't shoot a pregnant woman - that would be anti-catholic.

Then the cold war came and all was completely forgiven.
