Interesting idea. Seems like looking for a needle in a haystack would be childs' play in comparison.

Yeah, think of all the DNA from other organisms... bacteria, mold, lichen, then there are insects & various vertebrates... A cosmically HUGE haystack!

All that DNA lurking in the sediments of a relatively protected environment of a cave system. It boggles the mind.
