I am not an archaeologist -

Post by Rudolph Hucker »

- and definitely not THE archaeologist, but have an increasing interest in the subject. This comes about mostly as a result of acrimonious debates between creationists and evolutionists. Which "side" I am on matters not one jot, reason will prevail.

I got here by a reference from Minimalist on another board and I am pleased to be here.

My weekend will be full with 111 pages of previously unknown "beginnings" debate to read.

Thanks a lot FM.

Yes, indeed, I find myself agreeing with most of what Min writes and in fact he opened my eyes to a load of data on the subject.

Basically, I cannot accept the literalist/fundamentalist view of things.

As an ignoramus, I probably won't post much but I'll be lurking.

It's an astoundingly long story, Monk.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Out of curiosity which fundementalists are we talking about?
According to the Koran, (Quaran, what ever) the sun sinks into a well of muddy water at the end of the day.
If there are any Moslem students out there I have some questions on that idea.
