I need a roadmap!

Post by Forum Monk »

Yikes!
I run off for a few hours, come back and the entire board is rearranged. Some get me a roadmap!

(I kind a like it but I if we talk about old world people sailing to the new world then....?)

We wing it! I am sure there will be some time line crossovers.

(Here's hoping I got it all into the right categories...I was a rushin' )

One problem with the new layout.
Where do you put the pre Columbus Western Hemisphere?
And any pre Columbus exploration, trade, etc between it and the Old World?

Squeeze it into the little white line between New World and Old World.

There are no 'cast in stone' dates or defining lines. Columbus was a very general reference

If it is in the Americas, it's New World. Europe, Africa, Asia obviously Old World.

If it's older than, say, 8,000-10,000 years it could be primitive

If it has elements of all or both, use your judgment.

Now I just need to figure out where to put Australia!

It was a long time coming. I was reminded it was something I wanted to do awhile ago. (Thanks Bob). ♦

Under world? (depending on which way up you hold your map)
Seriously though, it looks good.

Wow! How long have I been away? I like it Michelle. It always seemed so bare on the index page before compared to other forums, some of which have way too many cayegories. This is just right. Your efforts are appreciated.
