1- This is an English language board. Advertisements in foreign languages will result in immediate banning since I will not be bothered translating your nonsense to find out if you are hawking legal or illegal products. And I don't care if they are legal, either. Spam is spam and I don't give a shit about it. This is a non-commercial site.
2- Multiple accounts from the same IP address will get you banned. That's a non-starter.
3- I most likely will not even tell you that you are being banned. I can't be bothered. You know what you're doing and you know what will happen.

That's not really surprising Min. In the current pandemic economy, with new lockdowns looming on the horizon, it's not surprising that people are scrambling for any kind of income stream that they can find. Posting spam means potential clicks on those links & those clicks sometimes become purchases. Those purchases probably provide a small affiliate payment to the poster of that link... The spammers probably post their spam links on hundreds of websites every day to try to generate income. I'm NOT advocating for spammers, I'm just saying that I understand the what & why of the whole thing.

I would estimate that 80% of them are russians writing in cyrillic which I can't be bothered to translate. OUT they go. Probably Putin's stooges pushing Trumpist propaganda.

Lately, I have detected a new trend where Innocuous Posts show up such as "I Just Wanted To Say Hello" or "Where is The Shoutbox." Whether these are legitimate, or attempts to get past the post-count requirement, or whatever, they do not address anything regarding the field of archaeology. They will be deleted on sight. You won't be banned for it.
And if your intent is to get past the post-count limitation that won't work either. As soon as you spam some other site or product you're gone...post-count be damned.

They're always probing for a weakness Min. Other than the spammers who are hoping for affiliate payments, the rest are immature individuals who just want to buck the system for bragging rights. At least, that's my take on the subject.

There have been several more trying the same thing.
Spammers, if you want to "introduce yourselves" do so in the Guestbook and Comment section. Stop posting in 10 year old threads with crap like "I'm glad I'm here."

Yesterday I deleted 4 innocuous posts which these spammers - I am now convinced that is all they are - refused to put in the Guest Book.
