You know, I was curious about your request and ran it through Google.

Amazingly, the search string: learn hieroglyphics :actually turned up quite a few hits.

It's a start.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

This is supposed to be a good site....This is not a free course, but I've heard very good feedback from participants.

http://guardians.net/

I haven't copied the links but if you go to the hieroglyphs page on The Guardian's Egypt main page linked above, you might find some of the links useful (headings are listed below).

Hieroglyphs New This site by Slateboard Learning Resources presents hieroglyphic writing, numbers, fractions and more.

The Rosetta Stone Read about the ancient tablet that was found and allowed us to translate the ancient Egyptian language of hieroglyphs.

Gardiner's Sign List English Egyptologist, Sir Alan Gardiner, compiled a list of 700 separate signs used in Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. Here is that list online!

A Little Egyptian Reading Book Practice reading hieroglyphs with these simple pages.

Hieroglyphic Alphabet A chart that shows the hieroglyphic letter scheme.

Hieroglyphic Font for Windows! Download and install this font through Windows and you will be able to insert hieroglyphs into your documents as well as print them! You will need a program such as WINZIP to unzip this file.

Princeton University Library Papyrus Homepage Including a Descriptive Inventory and Digital Images of selected Princeton Papyrii.
I know you haven't aked about books but the Mark Collier & Bill Manley book 'How to read Egyptian Hieroglyphs - A Step-by-Step Guide to Teach Yourself' is very good if you don't already have it and can be picked up quite cheaply on Amazon :)
