You didn't answer my question. Will you say in this forum whether or not you agree with a letter that I will post here before I send it

Whether or not you've done that doesn't matter at this point. Also, if you've dug yourself into a deep hole.....stop digging.
and when did I threaten you ?
Several times now, you've warned me that you were going to make a case that I am an afrocentrist - presumably so I would stop this probe into this lie.
then perhaps you should read back over your posts to me over the last two days and compare them with my posts to you
Perhaps we should read back over your posts to me over the last six weeks and compare them with my posts to you.

You didn't answer my question. Will you say in this forum whether or not you agree with a letter that I will post here before I send it
youre aslking me to agree to something I havent seen yet
Several times now, you've warned me that you were going to make a case that I am an afrocentrist - presumably so I would stop this probe into this lie.
what do you call someone who uses afrocentrism to back up their position
I can quite understand at the time that you didn't know thats what you were doing
but now that you do
why persist in it

if you don't think Dr Winters is an Afrocentrist then you should read this lot
http://www.lulu.com/content/166930
Afrocentrism: Myth or Science provides a detailed history of Afrocentrism among African American scholars; and the ancient Black Civilizations in Asia, Europe and the Americas. Special attention is given Egypt and the Kushite nations of Europe, Sumer,Elam and China.

he also has another book out

http://www.lulu.com/content/180048
In this book teachers learn how to teach the history of ancient Black civilizations around the world. It includes a curriculum guide and lesson plans useful in teaching Afrocentric history using electronic and print sources.
and another one about the greeks

http://ipoaa.com/black_greeks.htm
According to the Olympian Creation Myth the earliest groups to appear on earth were the Libyco-Thracians .The Libyans were Proto-Saharans, as were the original Thracians. Some Thracians were descendants of the Kushite and Egyptian troops established at Trace, by Sesostris (Thutmose III or Ramses II), when he conquered Asia and Europe.(Diop 1991; Winters 1983a,1984b,1985a)
he also has on his home webpage
http://www.geocities.com/olmec982000/index.html
Sample Afrocentric Ancient History Links:
Other Afrocentric Links by C.A. Winters
see Clyde hasn't stated anywhere that the Sumerians were ever in S America
what he proposes is that the Sumerians and the Mesoamerican natives were both founded by groups from Africa and so their language can be decoded using a primtive african dialect
for this he has selected Mande.
he compares say a sumerian word with a Mande word and then if its similar phonetically he then claims it is the same word
of course the person who decides wether or not they are even remotely similar is Clyde
I'll give you an example of how this works
"Merde" is a french word. I'm sure you know what it means
it sounds a lot like the english word "mud"
so the English word and the French word must therefore have an identical meaning
so you could say "people are using a new skin therapy where they smear merde on their skin" and using this method of interpretation would give you an insight into skin care
Perhaps we should read back over your posts to me over the last six weeks and compare them with my posts to you.
Fair comment
I apologise for any offense

I am growing tired of trying to explain this to you. I'll do it again in very plain language.

I don't give a rats ass if Dr. Winters believes in UFOs, or anything else for that matter. He happens to be the person that the Bolivian scientists requested to translate these writings.

He did. You said he didn't think they were authentic. He said he did. So I started the Pokotia thread. He however made no comment about Sumerians being in South America. I don't blame him.

That is so simple. But true to your nature, you are writing convoluted and twisted reasoning about me being an afrocentrist.

You are having a lot of problems with reading comprehension, as evidenced by that Hancock letter you carry around

No more smoke and mirrors. Back to the question I asked you, and then I'm going to lunch.

I asked if you would let the forum know whether or not you agreed with a letter that I will post. Read that again. That means you have the opportunity to say that you do not agree with it. What is your answer?

another post in the form of a personal attack
He did. You said he didn't think they were authentic. He said he did
this is a blatant lie
at no time has he stated that the Fuente Magna is authentic
if he had
then prove it
He happens to be the person that the Bolivian scientists requested to translate these writings.

this is also not true
he just happened to translate it himself in order to add it to his collective proof that civilisation in S America was founded by africans and World mysteries picked it up and added it to their webpage
this of course means that world mysteries is not a credible source
funnily enough it was world mysteries that you used as evidence
and here if you must have it is a picture of hsi translating which shows you how accurate it is
Image
see where he says "Kur" four times on the right hand side
here is Kur from the electronic pennsylvania sumerian dictionary as you can see if it was written by a sumerian scribe it would be three triangles joined together. not two facing each other as he has read it
Image
http://psd.museum.upenn.edu/epsd/epsd/e3180.html
he claims it means "Ti Kur kur kur kur "
Approach in the future
when actually Kur means "underworld; land, country; mountain(s); east;"

so firstly
he isn't qualified to read Sumerian
secondly
his translation is incorrect
thirdly
he wasn't invited to translate it but did it for his own reasons

so whichever way you now want to claim you don't care what he believes in you must admit that it has coloured his reason for doing it

I asked if you would let the forum know whether or not you agreed with a letter that I will post. Read that again. That means you have the opportunity to say that you do not agree with it. What is your answer?
what makes you think you are speaking on behalf of the forum
from what I have seen you are usually in a minority of one here
I can't say that apart from your friend anyone ever agrees to any claim you have made
most people realise that your level of scholarship is not that effective and that you generally use any information you can no matter how unreliable it is to try and prove a point on something that long ago has been proven to be something different. thats quite usual in pseudoscientific approaches and also the reason why it never proves anything
I thought you might learn something from my patience with you on this matter and my kind words to you and my showing of credible evidence
clearly that is not the case
obviously when I see this letter that you are proposing to write then I will most likely let you have my opinion anyway
of course
it will be backed with links and overwhelming evidence to prove my point as usual

Cogs, those sentiments could have been directed to Marduk a long time ago when he was being so uncivil and I was ignoring him. There could have been plenty of peace here if he had just let it be.

Now - it seems that he wants it. What's wrong with this?

your inability to recognise that you started it when I first joined this forum by calling me dishonest because I happened to belong to another forum which you didn't like and I am finishing it by offering you a truce which you have turned down twice already
thats whats wrong with this Lee
you can't face facts

You never need to ask for a truce - it's always been there. You can just leave me alone - plus not run any more new members off.

Now about the letter:
he wasn't referring to the fuente magna as genuine
he was referring to the pokotia monolith
he knows it isn't a lone relic and hence his usage of plural "monoliths"
the fuente magna is not a monument or a monolith
its a bowl
so
if you want to claim I'm lying
then you had better e mail him back and ask him if the bowl is genuine
hadn't you
because the first time you asked him
he deliberately and very carefully avoided answering your question
and let you believe what you wanted to
You won't give me an answer and I won't ask again. I will get to the bottom of the explanation that you offered here.

That is the reason you did not lie. Ok. I'll find out myself, in my own time, if Professor Winters deliberately decieved me.

Now this thread should go back on topic.

I wouldn't go as far as to say he deliberately deceived you so much as you allowed what you had read to support a conclusion you had arrived at before you asked the question

he is a very clever man after all
with a degree in psycology
and letter you do ask him will need to be very carefully worded or he'll happily dance through the gaps. the last letter you wrote wasn't worded properly
sometimes hes a bit slippery but claiming he deliberately deceived you is a little slanderous

and as for running new members off
three new members in the last week have said they enjoyed the warfare
or didn't you factor those facts into this new assertion of yours
once again your last post was still a personal attack
first I was a liar which you have now withdrawn
now I am running people out of town ?
any evidence for this one at all ?

but as for this thread going back on topic
whats the point
you're discussing a work of fiction in an archaeology forum
the subject of this thread isn't even on topic
now if this forum was for creative journalism.............................

I will continue to post the facts supported with links as I see them
I will not continue to harass you while i do so
ok ?

So - no matter what he says you're going to maintain that I was decieved again. You will say "no, he didn't mean that because he's very slippery and you didn't ask the question right"

I agree - you shouldn't say that he deceived me.

You've already proven your lack of credibility here. Winters letter won't even be the final nail in the coffin.

ooh another personal attack
what a surprise
wether you understand what happened or not because of your personal belief is beside the point
anyone else who has read what winters said to you can see he wasnt talking about the fuente magna when he said "monuments"
and they can see he certainly didnt mention sumerians
so whatever way you look at it
he brushed you off
Winters letter won't even be the final nail in the coffin.
well the last one backfired on you didnt it
so i dont see what any other letters you write are supposed toprove
at no time is he going to say that the fuente magna is a genuine sumerian artifact
doesnt matter how carefully you word it
but have fun trying won't you
please be sure that you post all of his correspondance when he writes back once again not telling you anything
at some point you will see the truth
but i'm not holding my breath
in the meantime
perhaps you could supply some evidence that the Fuente Magna is a genuine sumerian artifcat like you have been claiming all along
lets say anything by a real sumerologist would be good enough ?

Because it isn't. It was made in Bolivia, Padawan.
You know that.
ooh another personal attack
Stop whining and grow up. I'm nowhere even with you,
even if that could be considered a personal attack.

so it was made in Bolivia ?
by sumerians ?
is that what you are saying now ?
would you perhaps like me to attempt to translate it
I can do that you know
I can read Sumerian
but of course
I've only studied genuine texts
and this doesnt look anything like genuine
so its probably mostly gibberish
like where it almost says "mountain mountain mountain"

in case you didnt realise it Beagle
at one point i did actually collate every bit of irrefutable evidence of sumerians in south america
and you havent seen any of the good stuff
I'm not saying at any point that they werent there
but this certainly isn't proof of anything
except of course
that world mysteries is not a good or credible souce
