Documentaries for download?

Here's where you get off topic and off center....Keep it nice, keep it clean, no sniping, no flaming. After that, anything goes.

Documentaries for download?

Post by popelane24 »

Hey guys- I did a little reading in the forums and you certainly got me thinking. Isnt that why were here - to pass on knowledge and wisdom to eachother?

Anyways I was wondering if you guys knew of the best web sites to download some archaeological/historical documentaries on to my computer. I am particularly interested in "Old World" archaeology and anything Biblical, not to prove the Bible but to find out how science and faith compliment eachother.

I would look at piratebay.org, thats where I download a lot of my music, but I wouldnt know how to search for the titles!

Thanks guys - keep diggin'

Hi Lane,

Have a look at the Archaeology Channel:

http://www.archaeologychannel.org/index.asp

There are lots of videos here and they are all free for your viewing pleasure. I'm not sure you can download them, but you can definitely watch at the site.

And another list at About Archaeology:

Youtube has a series on The Bible Unearthed...one of the best.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Youtube won't let you DL from them....unless you have a special program to do it.

I use a plug in for firefox called unplug to download things from youtube.
it only works with firefox version 2 and that is still downloadable from the firefox people.
I then use this
http://www.dvdflick.net/
to put the movies on to DVD so that I can watch them on my TV.

there are other programs that will let you grab videos, but I have never used them.
