Joke page

Here's where you get off topic and off center....Keep it nice, keep it clean, no sniping, no flaming. After that, anything goes.

It does.

Did they give Bush complimentary tickets to the opening?
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Bush, Cheney, Wolf and Gonzales....

Not to mention those that raised their hand at the debates regarding evolution....

Creationism

Post by Cognito »

A Gallup poll last year showed almost half of Americans believe that humans did not evolve but were created by God in their present form within the last 10,000 years.

Three of 10 Republican presidential candidates said in a recent debate that they did not believe in evolution.
These statistics are absolutely great and prove why it is easy to get be succesful in America: we are surrounded by morons (present parties excluded, of course). :D

It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And no, I don't feel like debating creation versus evolution. Those arguments go on for years. Ask Min and Arch.

What's cool about the main players on this forum is, although we all have different origin beliefs, we respect that and still have some pretty good science discussions.

Example: The discussion of all the different flood stories from around the world, and our collective conclusion that something catastrophic occurred that all these different groups preserved in their different historical stories. After the fact we find out about this theory that Firestone et al. are promoting: Massive melt down of glaciers by extraterrestrial debris impacting the Northern Hemisphere. We were ahead of, or equal to cutting edge science on that one guys.

And there are several other examples where we have debated on topics and come to a consensus on a theory or observations that made sense. I'm still chuckling about Beags' photo and text from Topper:

That's me running my mouth. I had looked at it before and thought Tom had left with it, so I sat down. Then there he was, giving me another look. He said that I can tell my friends that there are indeed hand axes in North America.

If not, he'd just invade and take it over.

In the name of Jesus, of course.

The country's had a bad six years, Star.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

With his track record he'd lose money on the popcorn concession.

Your "guy" would do whatever Bush told him to.

Luckily for you, you are getting a new "guy."

Trouble is Min we're not sure if we are or if we are getting a cardboard cut out with 'Laughing Boy' standing behind him. Time will tell.

Like he's been doing for years being a good boy.

Luckily for you, you are getting a new "guy."
"Luckily"?
That remains to be seen.
