"Earth's worst mass extinction..."?

The Western Hemisphere. General term for the Americas following their discovery by Europeans, thus setting them in contradistinction to the Old World of Africa, Europe, and Asia.

[quote="Kalopin" They were buried at the YDB, 13kya. Yes, this is just some more overwhelming evidence of a great cataclysm [13kya] to wipe out another advanced civilization.

It's not difficult to do simple "research " , but that seems beyond you .

Rapa Nui wasn't inhabited 13kya . More to the point the Moai were raised approx 1100–1680 AD .

Kapolin,

If you are going to produce mountains and mountains of unsubstantiated information, please remove your graphics to a photo share site and provide a link.

Your posts are difficult to read at best, cluttered to the nth degree and taking up far too much space in my bandwidth.

-more baseless assumptions. The primitive culture [Rapa Nui] did not carve the stones and were not around when they were "carved".. These were capacitors used for energy storage during the latter days of the Pleistocene. Oh, you say an outrageous statement? really" more outrageous than believing such a primitive culture in such an environment would be capable of carving out over nine hundred massive statues, each [most] from a single stone and transporting them such distances?

My comments were neither baseless nor assumptions .
It is obviously a waste of time providing references as you will either fail to read or understand them . And as they are contrary evidence to your baseless beliefs , they will be treated as part of a conspiracy and ignored .
Of course it will be impossible for you to refute them . There is quite a literature based on real research , I don't believe you would have read any of it , or certainly not understood it .

However , see http://science.sciencemag.org/content/311/5767/1603 and for an opposing view but not in the regions of fantasy see
http://islandheritage.org/wordpress/wp- ... n_Etal.pdf for dates .

" capacitors used for energy storage during the latter days of the Pleistocene." Yes that is nuts , absolutely nothing to support it either , and none expected .
"Primitive " cultures were moving and carving massive stones a lot earlier than what is found on Rapa Nui .

I hope to make all realize the "unsubstantiated information" is what is presently being taught, and that every detail of my research is backed with science...

"...Radiocarbon dates for the earliest stratigraphic layers at Anakena, Easter Island, and analysis of previous radiocarbon dates imply that the island was colonized late, about 1200 A.D..."
...carbon! ...to find out how early a place was inhabited! ...what a joke!

"...warn, future research, including analysis of a larger and more reliable body of evidence, may call for revision of the most likely date range for initial colonization of Easter Island..."
-yea, [duh] "Easter" island has been misplaced. It once was forested, during the Pleistocene and after impact, the entire Nazca plate was pushed under the south American plate... What were all these megalithic stones used for?- please see- https://gem.godaddy.com/p/b57f99?fe=1&p ... a5c0618db3
"New Study Suggests Electric Discharge Between Earth's Core and Magnetic Field
by Mitch Battros February 20th 2017

"This news release highlights the observation of charged particles in the form of what is sometimes described as "sprites", which is an electrical discharge which surges from "below" to "above". It is similar to the mechanics of a local lightening/thunderstorm we witness here on Earth. To the typical observer, it appears that lightening comes down from the heavens and strikes the Earth; however, it is the intense impulse of charge which comes from the ground which produces high voltage..."
...now, how intense would these electrical discharges be if the Moon were much closer?
[What I am saying is,] it is possible these stones were absorbing the energy the earth produces, as telegeodynamics...
This is the similar concept as thermo-acoustic refrigeration, using very low frequency, high intensity pressure waves in a vacuum...
As the Moon and the electrical storms would pass over so closely, these lightning rods would catch the sprites and convert them to usable electricity...

As expected you didn't read or understand the references and were unable to refute the findings .
BTW “ What a joke “ is not a refutation .

There is simply no evidence for a human presence on the island earlier than 1300 AD .
If you believe that you or anyone else has the evidence to refute that , let's see it .
Breath won't be held .

We know that the the island was forested during the Pleistocene ,and the only reason you do is because of because of the the work of palynologists who can also confirm that trees were present
until approx 1100 AD .

“All those megalithic stones” have been raised around the world for millenia , we are still doing it today ,except nobody does it for for the reasons that you believe .

“it is possible these stones were absorbing the energy the earth produces, “ .
What energy are you talking about ? Regardless ,if so , then so are all the other stones that were not erected , and all the stones that were erected but clearly not for that purpose ,i.e. so what ? .

You're insane Tony.

You have a messianic complex...
You have delusions of grandeur...
And you have a persecution/martyr complex...

Those are only your secondary symptoms.

You have a serious primary mental illness that appears to have gone untreated for a long period of time.

You appear to believe that you & your crackpot 'theories' are credible. When it becomes apparent that you haven't gained the fame & acceptance that you crave, your paranoia & persecution complex will kick in, resulting in a negative feedback loop that will send you spinning out of control. Then 'they' will come for you & take you to a place that has padded walls, wearing a jacket that helps you give yourself a much needed hug...

Pathetic.

Absolutely correct, spice.

While trying to do impact research,
I have to deal with nuts like Tony all of the tine.
Do I get paid 180 an hour to do it?
No.

I am really really fed up with nuts like Tony peeing in the impact research pool.
Please just boot him from here.

The most important point is that he is wrong as well as deluded .

Booting him from here will be seen as victory from his perspective , he would love that .It would fit in with the conspiracy
Either respond meaningfully to his nonsense, or ignore it .
Editing the enormous pics would be useful too .

Yes, tiompan, Tony is wrong and deluded.
Tony is stupid as well - nothing you write ever sinks in.

The problem for me is that he is using this forum to pee into the field of impact research.

The impact hazard is much greater than previously thought,
and we have to deal with it.
But that requires defining it with hard data as far as possible.

This is serious and difficult work,
and Idiots like Tony and a few others are doing their very best to stand in the way of that work,
by screaming their insane gibberish as loudly as possible.

E.P.
If he gets booted off from here he will only only resurface elsewhere , as a victim of a conspiracy /martyr , with the same nonsense .
Best to point out where he is wrong , it's not difficult , just don't waste too much time on him .

Might as well give Tony Hood the ole heave ho...

He's been booted off every other board that he's fouled with his insane whacked out nonsense. Even the worst of the Mystical, Fringe, Ancient Aliens & Conspiracy boards have kicked him to the curb.

I fail to see why allowing him to spew his insane nonsense ad infinitum is preferable to booting him. Who cares if he believes that he has achieved a victory or attained martyr status? He's insane. His thought processes are abnormal. You can't expect a reasonable response from him.

I vote to kick him off the island.

[I have trouble understanding why this is not easily understood...]
The evidence that the island was inhabited during the Pleistocene is the monolithic statues...
What do the Rapanui say about how the stones were moved?
http://www.hawaii.edu/malamalama/2005/0 ... panui.html
"...It’s commonly believed that during 900 years of moai building, the Rapanui people chopped down all the island’s trees, using them as rollers or support beams to transport each moai across the island to its ahu (ceremonial platform). The lack of trees supposedly led to declining food production, warfare, cannibalism and near annihilation..."
? It may be difficult to determine whether or not any forests grew back and were later destroyed. What can be studied is- What scattered the stones and buried them, some twenty to thirty feet in the dirt?
Do you believe the people would do this?
Does it not appear there was a massive catastrophe, maybe a tidal wave?
Do the Rapanui have any recording of such a disaster?
Will deduction rule out that these stones are just from some primitive culture to worship?
Could there maybe be a more sensible conclusion?

[what if?...]- This island was one of the highest points on the western edge of a continent, well inhabited by highly advanced civilizations, and the Moon impacted at the Mediterranean, breaking apart and lifting the entire continental shelf at the western edge of the south and north American plates, engulfing a couple of other broken plates, the Farallon and the Nazca, forming the Andes and the Rockies and sinking the entire Nazca plate except for Easter island, which was washed clean, but for the massive statues, the only objects able to withstand the blow...

...and then, many years later a tribe lands on the beach, claims the island and begins a new history, the old one forgotten by a great cataclysm, that has destroyed most all the memories, but has left plenty evidence, waiting to be understood...[?what if?...]
