new deal (apologies to FDR)

Post by john »

all right, folks. i'm tired of all the "nattering nabobs of negativism" on this forum. the measure of my desperation is i'm actually quoting spiro agnew for the first time in my life...........

so here's the deal. you all have one week exactly to define "unintelligent design". it is now 5:41 pm pacific time in n america, date, july 31, 2006. you will be judged by this forum, i.e., number of posts for or against.

the winner will receive, by mail, a bottle of 12 year old single malt scotch of good pedigree.

john

ps

i'n not paranoid or anything, but the bastards are really truly out to get me, so only one vote allowed per definition. no ballot box stuffing allowed!

jeez, i guess i'm not paranoid enough. Nevermind, i'll drink it myself in honor of the winner; how's that for positive thinking!

seriously, though, this thing reminds me of the first world war in its latter stages: everybody in their trenches and desultory artillery shelling combined with patrols over no man's land 24/7.

where's the give and take, the forward intellectual motion?

That is serious. Stay out of tall buildings for a while.

Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Make it a 15 yr Laphroaig or Lagavulin, your choice, and I'll see what I can do. Just so you know I'm not fooling around, here's a little taste.
