Again, Settler Fanatics who think they have a right to kill Palestinians on sight have promoted Mazar's work. They show exactly the same kind of idiotic "with us or against us" methodology as you are famous for with the idiotic notion that Whitelam and Finkelstein agree. They do not agree.

In fact, if they agree on anything it is that the bible thumping morons are wrong to put their trust in phony bible stories which were written for political purposes well after the events in question.

This bunch has all the credibility of the idiots who find Noah's Ark in every rock formation in Turkey. They are not to be taken seriously by anyone with a brain.

You claim to reject the notion that every rock turned up in Israel must somehow be related to some silly fairy tale yet, no sooner does someone turn up a rock do you wet your pants seeking glory for your fables.

i wouldn't go to that extreme but the POSSIBILITY is exciting. yes, i led the argument about that topic of every stone or artifact being religious but that doesn't mean i have to ignore discoveries or the fact that they may be from King David's reign or whatever. i am still a believer and it is nice to have something to show in defense of my faith.

unfortunately, that makes me more sad than angry. B.A.S.E. is an organization i know little about but i suspect that they are typical evangelicals who tend to stay at the surface of their faith and not explore the depths of it.

Claiming Finkelstein is of a camp as a mode of argumentum ad hominem does not make him part of that camp.

Had the individual read Whitelaw, he would have discovered that Whitelaw has quite the criticisms of Finklestein.

Funny what reading the evidence teaches one. . . .

i mentioned jewish histories earlier and on pg. 37 of long's book he talks about it. turns out he read a book called, 'Review of History' by paul rothstein (pen name ezra).

"In the introduction of mr. Rothstein's simple but profound thesis, I realized why historians had failed to unlock this mystery surrounding the exodus.

'It is almost axiomatic to think of ancient history as having long preceded the history of Israel; Egypt is often depicted as being 'eternal'. It is generally unknown that the chronologyof Judaism has remianed unchanged since its origins. Jewish Chronology there fore differs from secular chronology; the latter is subject to continual change."

So it was Jewish Chronology i was thinking of earlier but knowing secular scholars and thier disciples, it is not surprising that they reject anything to do with the Jews and their own writings. yet again, that which applies to secular nations should not be transposed upon those who follow God or Christ.

thatis why i do minimal evidence posting. you can't discuss or accept the fact that other people have proof outside of your finkelstein and dever.

the rejectionof the jewish histories and the Bible show a disregard for the very principles espoused by scientists in all fields. until you allow all data in, you will never come to the proper conclusions.

sorry but i already know God is real, i don't need someone to tell me. i know that the exodus happened, i may not agree with jacobovich but i know we have the proof,despite kenyon's manipulaqtions. other archaeologists may hold her in high regard but i do not. she may have done fine work in jerusalem, but then again she may have done the same thing as she did in jericho and that is ignore evidence and make decisions basedupon what was not found (her dig style opened up that door).

just because you choose not tobelieve does it man it did not happenor it did not exist andhiding behind the mantra of 'thisis a science board' means you are not willing to discuss anything other than your own beliefs, which isn't scientific but inbredism.
