Hey Marduk, I read it in a book, and made a note of it, I'll find it soon.

You know, Ham named Kena'an (Cana'an), which could mean children of the sun god, An or On, so Ham may have been the prime instigator of sun worship, I think he was also Chronus (against Nus/Noah), Chronus was the Time Man.

Hey Marduk, did the Sumerians have a god of time like Chronus?

Y' know Marduk, I think Ham (Chronus/Cham of India) sailed the Med and the Indian Ocean, not much time up the Schatt-al-Arab River (now the Persian Gulf), so perhaps, the Sumerians didn't deify him, as Nimrod was there to command their attention.

Don't you think Sargon I was Nimrod?

The demi-god Ashur is interesting, he was the patron diety of the Assyrians, wasn't he the king Pusur Ashur I, circa 2200 B.C.?

GV
I have looked at millers Idea for the celtic cross before and though great claims are made there are many discrepancies.

All true celtic crosses found have been dated AD

No celtic cross has ever been found with degree markings

There are no written references to using the celtic cross as a navigational aid

No celtic cross was ever found with a plumb line attached or residue of such or even any cross with any means to attach such

The proposed egyptian cross takes a lot of imagination to even resemble the celtic cross .
If you have any factual evidence to the contary I would be very interested.

Tech, do you see any flaws in the analysis in article #2 at www.IceAgeCivilizations.com?

Hello Tech - here's hoping you don't respond to this post. We really need to stop "feeding" these people. To respond is futile, and a measure of success for them.

Whether you agree or disagree is of no consequence to them. Simply responding IS.

What would they do if nobody would talk to them?

VG would talk to Marduk for a while (wake up folks) and Arch would throw a big fit for a while.

Then they would go away.

I know you shouldn't feed trolls, but it's so much fun! You are right though....

Hello OAS - welcome. I see that you have been here for one day and have been engaged in the religious discussions completely.

Sorry to see that. This is, despite the obvious problems, an archaeology forum. According to Google, there are 45 MILLION bible forums.

So there is sumpin' weird going on around here.

How long have you been posting? Only Archaeology? Anyway - welcome :)

I joined the discussion group yesterday. I've been pretty active since then, but in a lot of discussions that really don't have much to do with real archaeology. Pretty much any open archaeology forum I've seen has had a couple of fundamentalists trying to highjack the whole thing, so it's a normal day I guess. Great site!

Exactly!! Nothing can be hijacked if they are not responded to. Hard I know but the only way.

The only way.
