LOS ANGELES — The spread of a particularly virulent form of tuberculosis in South Africa illustrates a breakdown in the global program that is supposed to keep the disease, one of the world’s deadliest, under control.

This new report about drug resistant TB is worrisome to me. The problem has been growing in recent years and threatens to become a major world health problem.

Cases have been reported in the US.

Also in the UK Beag, most of the cases being traced to immigrants from sub Saharan Africa, but when this was pointed out to 'Smiling Boy' Blair, with the recomendation that immigrants be screened, it was rejected as 'rascist'!
