Take it easy Cog! Like I said, it's taken a lifetime to have them accepted as 'family'.
The idea that might have been 'human' will cause some people to have a heart attack!
I'll go a step further and suggest that as they carved and drilled beads they probably cared about their dress as well.

Min, could you do something about this?

Don't look at me. I can't draw a straight line.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Some mornings I have looked like that.

the findings had suggested that at least some Neanderthals would have had red hair, pale skin, and possibly freckles ...
And that's all.

The findings do not suggest that that "Wilma", as they have called her, didn't bother to wash her face or groom her hair or, for that matter, had a permanent case of PMT as that expression conveys.

When will we learn to view these people without all our own prejudices getting in the way?

Yes, that is a terrifically imaginative rendition of someone whose progeny survived in one of the most difficult climactic locales for the last 250,000 years or so.

Instead of being flat out filthy and unkempt I will attempt to get an artist to provde a alternative sketch of Wilma with braided hair complete with beads and facial tattoos. Could take a couple of weeks since she is out of town, but enough is enough!

I will ask that a smile repace the scowl on Wilma's face. As a matter of fact, we will create "Betty" instead.
If Fred Flintstone's wife looks like a dog, at least Barney Rubble's can have some class. :D

I think you should get the artist to make her a really hot chick. I'm sure those women were all all-woman type women! How else could they have got HSS in the sack? :D
