BTW, prices on meteorites from NWA (the Sahara desert) are about as low as they are going to get, and now is an excellent time to buy a few slices of rocks from space if you have any desire to. The ones on their show are usually "name" brands with way higher prices.

Possibly the Holocene Impact working group is working on that crater, or it may be accessible through the Canadian crater database. But I'm not sure about that, as this is the first I've heard of it formally.
All I really found with that google search was a hilarious/disturbing thread concerning Steve Arnold, high powered drugs, a shifty male nurse, a nefarious lawyer and their alleged collusion to fleece a dying woman of her asteroid collection. I'm not sure if it was serious or the nerdiest way of saying that someone would cheat a dying grandmother I've ever seen in print. It reads like something Hunter Thompson might have imagined.

I don't think I'm the type to buy rocks. I do love collecting, though. Got a shoebox half full of petrified wood, crinoids, corals, arrowheads and supposed meteorites I found along highways, dirt roads and in fields we plowed as a kid in north Texas and western Arkansas.
There's two Steve Arnold's - one is Brenham Steve of meteorite men, the other Chicago Steve.
Do you have a link to that story - it sounds like the later Steve. Kind of makes life difficult for Brenham Steve.

Hi John

Thanks - glad to clear this up for you.

Brenham Steve Arnold is the one here, and the one from meteorite men. Note that he obtained the highest price for the heirs for the collection.

Michael Casper has "left" the meteorite dealing community.

It's a sad end. Casper once represented Cornell University in obtaining meteorite specimens, and at the 1999 Asteroids, Comets and Meteorite academic meeting held there he allowed me to hold in my own hands a huge piece of the planet Mars.

But sometimes love turns to lust.

I tried to tone down the heat of his dispute with Brenham Steve with a little humor.

Note that this was in 2002, before my stroke.

Try searching on "Grondine", "notkin" or "arnold", and "television" and you will get better results.
