Very interesting article. Languages preserve evidence of contact there's no tangible or formal "historical" evidence of -- e.g., of the Portugese having been in Brazil for years before they admitted it. Resource locations were state secrets. As they are today, for that matter.

Do I detect just a little bit of white, Western European, status quo attitude here?

Oh wait -- I forgot. That's only when it advances the NON-White, NON-Western European, NON status quo agenda. That kind isn't included in Inclusiveness. :lol:
