The Western Hemisphere. General term for the Americas following their discovery by Europeans, thus setting them in contradistinction to the Old World of Africa, Europe, and Asia.

Anglo-Saxon settlement and Roman army camp found in A14

Post by Josip199 »

I'm a new member here and I'd like to say hi :)

Have you seen that archaeologists uncover abandoned villages, prehistoric tools and seven tonnes of pottery in Cambridgeshire?

"One of the largest archaeology projects in the UK has revealed Anglo-Saxon settlements, a Roman military camp, remnants of a Medieval village, and a wealth of archaeological treasures. That’s quite a lot for what first appeared as flat Cambridgeshire countryside!"

Welcome, Josip.

This will keep the archaeologists busy for a long time to come.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Hi Iosip -

Welcome. This likely belongs in the Old World section of this blog.
If you want to see two professionals debate about materials from this period, go over to the Andrew Collins on Gobekli Tepe post in the Old World section.

Yes, this does belong in the Old World area.
But be aware that the thread suggested is full of "my references are better than your references" tripe.
But, I do agree, "welcome to the party."

Could you give us examples of the two opposing references ?
I'm only aware of one side producing references .
Tripe's not that bad . The disagreement is far worse , awful ? . Hat .
