Yes, you're right Digit. For this they used to rely on things like tree rings, coral grows, and context. Now there are other radiometric measures which are more costly but effective for correlating C14 dates.

What's interesting about the latest C14 discussion is that the effect will be to makes dates older rather than younger....which will be of little solace to the Archies of the world.

You know, I'm honestly worried about the guy. When he started talking about curses and stuff it occured to me that he may have really gone off the deep end.
