SCIENCE [!--Ed.] has found evidence of a global disaster which may have quickened the dinosaur departure from this mortal coil.
They have found no evidence of a Global Flood.
Your move. . . .

None.
You merely need to provide evidence.
I have evidence:
Who do you think put that smile on her face? It certainly was not Tom "Gayer than a Burlesque Show" Cruise.
Where is yours?

Given your credibility, you'd be dead before you finished.

I could
never commit the one sin Big Daddy refuses to forgive:
You are committing the greatest of sins! Denying the passions of a woman! All other sins God will forgive!

Well I don't know about staying on topic, but this thread has become highly entertaining. Nicole Kidman indeed! I believe the part about the eating cheetohs in your underwear. I bet she ain't there with cheesy fingers beside you. And for the record Conrad and Melville were both boring as hell.
Doc, I think you have made a very good case which has baffled arch. He hasn't posted anything resembling an appropriate and credible response. But, don't think that you have shaken his faith. The easter bunny still lives! Hallelujah! Praise the cottontail!
Arch, old buddy, we're all ganging up on you. I wish you had an ally.....I mean a real earthly human type one. You are the only one who doesn't see the untenability of your position. Perhaps god will intervene on your behalf. We're waiting........................

She prefers to use her tongue [RIGHT! Stop that!--Ed.]

Infidel!

Eh . . . perhaps because I am new HERE I have some innocent optimism and patience. I have that vague hope that he will read a reference and educate himself. I have met a lot in his state who have been helped by introduction to science.
Martin Gardner has a wonderful semi-autobiographical book about a boy-preacher who attends the University of Chicago. That place was--and still is--rather infamous for turning the religious into skeptical atheists. The joke is when you ask an alumni how he is, he responds, "relative to what?"
Anyways, Gardner's character, Peter Fromme, confronts his geology teacher with the book
The New Geology--an infamous creationist text. The professor appears before his class the next day stating he was given this book and planned to dismiss it. However, he felt it was his duty--as an educator--to explain
why it was a worthless load of dingo shit.
Which he spends the rest of the lecture doing.
The character Peter throws the book in the trash after that.
THAT is really the responsibility of scientists and scholars--to be honest and educate. Sure it is "fun" to poke a creduloid and all of that, but . . . heh . . . heh . . .
to quote the wise ToeCutter! If not
him someone else. I wager that there are those who "lurk" a board like this or find it looking for "biblical archaeology."
Maybe they will learn something.

i am not baffled i am upset that you as a moderator would let posters get so out of control. i noticed it is happening in the religious threads only so so much for your credibility as a moderator.
Arch, old buddy, we're all ganging up on you. I wish you had an ally.
i don't care, all that is being proven is the lack of character everyone has.

Then why has your grammar deteriorated and you have failed to rebut the evidences?
i am upset that you as a moderator would let posters get so out of control.
Most curious since you are the one who is out of control.
i noticed it is happening in the religious threads only so so much for your credibility as a moderator.
Example of grammar deterioration. Try again. Use the links provided to assist you.

Not wise to piss off the moderator, arch. I think they're deviating from the topic waiting for you to answer their questions. Do that and stop whining.

Any chance we can get back to discussing evidence for a global flood that covered every square inch of planet Earth?
Nicole Kidman's okay, but I hardly think she constitutes evidence for the impossible
