Well Arch if you notice I've been trying to discuss reasonably with you as I was thinking you are a good guy at heart. Thanks for setting me straight.

you should have asked first instead of assuming something you had no verification on.

finkelstein and dever are only constructive from a certain point but since they omit certain data, there conclusions are skewered and thus have very little to contribute.

their purpose is not finding the truth but to push their agenda which is to 'debunk' the truth already discovered and confuse the issue. none of which is helpful to the study of the past in that area.

And what data do they omit? Your fairy tales?

Had you bothered to read their books you would know that is not true. What they refuse to do is accept religion as an excuse for archaeology. Where archaeology has been able to verify biblical claims they are more than willing to accept it. That such acceptance does not happen often is more a commentary on the fiction of the bible than on the reluctance of scientists to believe.

Hey min, which parts of the Old Testament account of ancient history do you "think" are not accurate?

Back on topic please, if you can.

The players: Louis and Mary Leakey - the work at Olduvai Gorge.

Min was saying that the authors acknowledge "real" Biblical history, so which parts, min, are not "real" history?

...or what about John Romer - egyptologist, author and tremendous educator through several TV series?

Romer's Egypt
Testament
7 Wonders of the World
Great Excavations

...and more I believe. I love watching this guy.

The players: Louis and Mary Leakey - the work at Olduvai Gorge
they were anthropologists who mis-lead so many people and gave birth to the argument that the cradle of society was africa and not the mesopotamia area

their work ignored vital information that would have down dated their finds and placed them into the category of reality.

I don't know how to respond to this. Except perhaps Image

I guess it means that anthropologists and archaeologists are in cahoots to denigrate the silly bible!

Arch is always embarassed when those damned old bones keep showing up in the wrong continent.

not at all, it just shows to what length people will go to 'prove' the Bible wrong despite having no evidence.

but since OAS wants to talk about them, he can post some credible links so we get an idea of what he wants to tell us about them.

Flash to Arch.....it's already been proven wrong.

Ah yes min, you've done a masterful job of disproving the findings of archaeologists that the Bible has always been vindicated for accuracy, as more and more sites are uncovered, so your foolish notion that the Bible is not the most accurate history book ever compiled looks more foolish by the day, when will you ever learn?

I'll be glad to help you there Arch - let's start with the audio lectures on the Leakey Foundation site.

http://www.leakeyfoundation.org/audio/

and the Lucy skeleton exemplar for Australopithecus Afarensis as discussed on the Washington State University website

Enjoy!
