Just a thought, D/L...does he publish in French?

Unfortunately, M, I believe he did publish in French, and possibly Spanish, too. I have found a few references to papers by the Spanish woman who followed up his work. Getting them translated wouldn't be so difficult - but I can't even find the originals. That's one reason for throwing this up here, in case anyone happens to have leads for his stuff. And all I ever come across of her work is a collection of a FEW abstracts.

I think there are language settings on search engines. You may have to reset your to look for documents in French.

Hmmmm. I'll take a look. When I use Google, it often returns me web links in multiple languages, tho.

Ponisch seems to be a german name. When you search bookfinder.com
in german, you get several hits on the surname, but none on your guy.

Yes, the name has a German construction. I am quit certain he was French - found some few references about his work in some sites about Morocco - and so forth. thanks for looking, Stan!
