The Old World is a reference to those parts of Earth known to Europeans before the voyages of Christopher Columbus; it includes Europe, Asia and Africa.
And, for the record, that first one doesn't look all that "natural."
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.
Maybe a real estate agent had them clean the first one up a bit?

Have you a) been there, and b) been trained/educated as a cave expert, or are you c) judging from this lousy, overexposed snapshot...? (How do you even know that is a snap of one of the caves near Qum'ran? Could be anywhere!)
The caves may have been of various “depths.”
The accounts of explorations talk about going back pretty far.
But they jars holding the scrolls must had been put at various locations within a given cave.
The first scroll was found by a shepard boy throwing stone into a cave well over his head when he heard an unusual “clunk” that made him think he had hit something hollow.
It was a small hole but the jar was close to the entrance.

The search was for "Qumran caves interior" so it seems logical that good ole google did not bring up caves in Kentucky. Contrast the two photos. The second one looks "natural" the first looks like it has been cleaned up to say the least.

Anyway, the show airs tonight and I have R/S's file transfer program safely stored away.
This is a big step up from Pando so anyone who wants to see it just sing out and make sure I have an e-mail addy for you.

That's what people do with tourist attractions: they clean them up for (paying) visitors. The medieval castles of Europe were literal cesspools when they were inhabited by their original owners and their retinues. They have never been as clean as they are today.

I'd expect a few jars around if it were a tourist attraction. Ya gotta give the dolts something to see, you know.
But look at the walls between the two photos. Something ain't right.

Well, the recording came out marked "Copy Protected" which means it is a .VRO file. I've found an alleged converter on the web and am trying now to see if I can convert it into something usable. If not, I'm sure it will be repeated - interminably - in the upcoming weeks and I'll get it then.
Sometimes, this happens when I try to record a premiere event.
Rats.

Apparently not...
