More like (re-)confirmed the concepts of the self-fullfilling prophecy and peer pressure.

It's exactly like what happens with the squirting of sexually climaxing women. That is a very real phenomenon*. Yet the vast majority of men and women don't even know that this phenomenon exists! And when they do, most of them are convinced it is faked. This conviction can be so strong that they even refuse to believe it when they are watching it happening IRL, right in front of their eyes. I've actually seen that happen a number of times! They simply refuse to believe it. Period! It's quite amazing, but this really happens!

Or exactly like when I was watching the second moon landing, live, in 1970, with a few older guys (like I am now), of which two (upstanding 'religious' types) simply refused to believe that what they were seeing happening before them live on screen was true! Because God couldn't possibly have allowed that desecration of his divine creation! It had to be fake!

The sane mind boggles, but these things happen all the time anyway! I've seen them happen. The human capacity for self-deception – wishful thinking, 'projecting' – is amazing.

Culturally women are 'taught' that they should not 'make a mess'. Which is why most of the ones that have the urge and the physical capability to climax by squirting don't actually do so. They don't 'allow' themselves the release. Because it's a cultural inhibition/taboo.

You've got it, Roy. Just like in 1964 there were 10,000 screaming, hysterical girls at The Beatles first US concert, but none of them left their seats! Why? Peer pressure. Social mores. 'It was expected of them'.
Watch a Lady Gaga concert today and you'll see thousands of hysterical young men and women, dancing, prancing, posing, screaming, crying, anything BUT sitting down. Why? Peer pressure. Social mores. 'It is expected of them'.
Plus: they wouldn't see anything if they remained seated, would they?

Many of those concerts don't even have seating for the audience anymore...
