No, I find it useful, peaceful, and inspiring thought. I can keep track of doggie, geeseies, and weather with a simple gaze outside. I can find solace from the natural setting. I view the geologic landscape that the glaciers, glacial lakes, and the wind have sculpted and wonder where the best place to trench with a backhoe to expose the secrets that may lie beneath the serenity of fifteen thousand years of natural work. 8)

As bad as Sandy is, all that has happened here is that the leaves have been removed.

Well, other than doggie was sleeping by the back porch door and a 3/4 inch diameter branch came down like a spear, base first, and thunked really hard.

My kids and my sister-in-law all live on Long Island. Their power has been restored. No damage.
