What has happened is that as peoples were conquered and lost their history,
they made up new ones that are grandious in inverse proportion to the amount of their destruction.

Contra, Ms. Mann, a talented historian, and author of "Tales My Grandmother Told Me":
The Shawnee occupied the Ohio River Valley at the time of conquest.
The rings and rectangles were used by Shawnee and Cherokee ancestors to
teach the night sky and play ball games, respectively.

IMV, the extent of ancient Wyandot ancestral lands in Ohio are defined by a series
of Kickapoo paired ring and rectangle complexes on the headwaters of Indiana's White River.
The site at Worhtington was used for railroad construction fill,
while the site to the north of Indianapolis is not defined yet.

That said, I would fully trust Ms. Mann in seeing Vine DeLoria's last book, which was on the "giants" (Gandaste = "black pole") to press.

Most of the remains in Northwest Ohio, including those of the Wyandot, were mapped by an amateur archaeologist whose work is ignored by "professionals",
as though that will make the remains and artifacts he documented go away.
My guess is that Canadian archaeologists will have a field day (or more) with both his notes and collections.

While there are fine archaeologists at Cincinnati and elsewhere in Ohio, Dr. Lepper, Dr. Shields, AND their close associates are demonstrably incompetent.
While they are skillful political players, but they long ago lost sight of the science of archaeology.

Whatever their views on the history of the sites, pretty much everyone I've met with at a local level hopes that
the remains of Ohio's native ceremonial centers are transferred from the control of the private antiquarians of the Ohio Historical Society to
Ohio's Department of Natural Resources.

Based on my conversations with local political representatives and local archaeologists:
the remains are so massive that
it is no longer possible to manage them with the public-private partnership that was set up in the late 1800's.

By the way, the finest study now available of the Paint River area was done by a team from Germany.

Dr. Lepper's work at Serpent Mound was so bad that many are looking at whether or not his "Great Hopewell Road" really existed.

Good news - Dick Shields is retired.

That just leaves all his friends, confused individuals seeking to profit from the Shawnee and Cherokee ancestral remains.

According to this report, it looks like our confused sioux lady's salary comes from the university presidents office.
I wonder if the university president is a member of the Moundbuilders Country Club?

One problem that they here have is that I have W2's left from when I sold articles to Defense Daily and Soviet Aerospace.

The other is that I never claimed to be a member of a federally recognized Shawnee tribe,
but simply to be of 1/8 Shawnee descent from the Thawakila division.

How much should I sue them for?

I have got this kind of crap from the G*d D*mn*d F*cking M(rs N*ts for years.

Seems I told them things they did not want to hear.

E.P. ~ I fail to find any relevance in this thread.

This is an archaeology board.
That other board is a fraud board.

Your struggle to gain acceptance from them has no relevance here... I read all 5 pages of that thread. It was painfully boring & embarrassing.

Why do you keep flogging it on this board?

Hi circumspice -

Because I am not a fraud, and can not reply to their slander there.

I am still a historian, was a journalist, and I am of 1/8 Thawakila descent.
Brad Lepper has claimed native descent, but has not identified it.
I suspect his native heritage is Lenape, given his ignorance of the Shawnee and Cherokee.

I am not struggling to find acceptance from them,
but simply must have them stop lying about me.

This is the way Brad Lepper and Dick Shiels "play" with Ohio's native history. They will work the mysterious moundbuilders scam, the mysterious "Hopewell" scam and the"Adena" scam, and will continue to leech off Ohio's native sites, until those sites are removed from their influence.

They have pulled in carded individuals to repeat their nonsense before.

IN sum, spice, this is about Ohio's archaeological sites,
and cultural genocide, the last step in the European conquest.
This is about their attempts to remove Ohio's native americans from history,
and how they are trying to do it.

Thankfully, "History Channel" propper took over the "history channel HD" site and removed the video which claimed to be from me, but which I did not participate in at all.

Here is Brad Lepper "endorsing" the "theory" that the anunaki were ancient alien hybrids, who brought "super advanced" knowledge to Native America.

Be sure to ask him about this the next time you see him.

Some of the same people are featured as were featured in the video that "spoofed" me.

And here is Ross Hamilton, who made off with Vine Deloria's work:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4SMDVbNTpk

who is now presenting himself as being trained by him.
I learned exactly what happened from Pat Mason, who was Vine Deloria's research assistant.

ON the positive side, Ross Hamilton and Jeff Wilson first located the Andaste plinth at this Serpent. Ross has also been in very ill health for a number of years, and his wife has recently died.

But I've repeatedly told Ross that the Andaste were nasty assholes, and remembered by Native American as such, and were fought by them.

I've also repeatedly told Ross that the "Tallegewi" and "Allegewi" were entirely imaginary peoples created by European colonists.

I've also repeatedly told Ross that Native American constellations were different than European constellations.

Lastly, my own colleague Fletcher Wilson has given presentations on the Electro Magnetic Field at this Serpent for the last two years. Ross failed to mention his work here.

Finally, You will note Ross adopting Theosophist crap.
He is seeking his place in that coherent delusional framework.

And that is where Ross's "work" joins with spiritual theft.

But the real hazard at this Serpent is not Ross, but rather Terry Rivera who has long experience with the fringe, and who has trotted in various confused individuals and frauds at this Serpent over the years.

My current view is that there are thieves who will steal your name and reputation.
That is, if you let them.

Personally, I am deeply pissed off at Lenape, Sioux, and Comanche trying to rewrite Shawnee history. I do not intend to remain pissed off.

In Brad's case, I can not think of anyone who deserves this kind of shit more.

Brad's plagiarism of Bob Converse, former president of the Archaological Society of Ohio, and his later treatment of him,
and Brads's refusal to return contact era Shawnee remains to the Eastern Shawnee under under Chief Glenna, both deserve full exposure.

As do the Ohio Historical Society's actions in general.
