That's more than big enough. You know, when I think about our ancestors having to survive by fighting 2,000 lb. bears that lived in groups, I don't think our species owes any apologies for having won.

Sometime, somewhere, though we became responsible for being good stewards of the planet we conquered. I guess we're still trying to make that transition.

Yes, Minimalist, surfers here in Northern California have a similar joke about outswimming Great White Sharks.

i like the drama of cave bear conflict..
but we are still fighting microbes! And even though early man didn't know about them, they fought them with witchcraft, spells, prayers, and
sacrifices, and herbal medicine.

At least I guess he liked it. That's how it was titled.

As to microbes, they may win yet. We're all aware of antibiotic resistant strains. Seems it getting worse all the time.
