Are we to believe then that you are returning out of revenge?

Instead of these kow-towing posts to Michelle, you need to know that your bread is buttered by Minimalist only. Start smoochin'.

After what this board has been through, I can only hope that folks realize that trolls are only allowed to thrive if they are fed (responded to) by the other members.

There has been no archaeology (some feeble attempts) in two weeks. And despite Michelles' firm warning - all trolls are still present and will post again.

I don't believe you Arch, about being gone for a week. Anybody that has been here for a while knows that your word is worthless.

i am here and returning because i enjoy the site despite the lack of participation of other members.

i don't kow-tow to michelle. she allows me to post here with my perspective and i do my best to honor the rules. i do get frustrated like anyone else when a certain group of 5 has been allowed to do whatever they want without warning, complaint or disciplinary action.

i have yet to see someone tell them, whenever they go off topic or post statements without proof, that this is an archaeological or science board. so get off your high horse with me and start being consistent. i have done my best to ignore those trolls and have taken crap from frank about it, so don't acccuse me of feeding them.

you obviously need reading glasses, i did not say that i would be gone for a week. i said i would possibly be cutting back my participation, we shall see, starting next week. i am not sure how busy i will be the next three weeks.

I know Min. He is an attractive target. He has no idea how he embarrases himself with every post. But - as you can see, every troll lurking through here cannot resist it either. Arch is not only a troll but the original troll magnet.

You can see the destruction that it brings. And- looking down the road, just because Arch is a creationist who can't find his ass with a roadmap doesn't mean they all are. It won't be as much fun if some of their "top guns" drop in here. So far so good.

Sorry to take this position Min., but I'm not alone. I'm just the poor fellow who can't keep his mouth shut. Again, with no hope of it happening I'm going to make my feelings known about these Jesus threads, and call for padlocking them. If things die down a little bit, maybe we can do some posting.

i am no troll and never have been, beagle and others like him are all the same: they think they own the subjects and think they get to dictate what goes on.

i wouldn't be surprised if the frolicking few were just 'socks' by some of you to create a situation in which you got the threads locked down. i noticed frank did a poor job of keeping them under control and let them run amok.

there is a lot that you don't know, one such thing is that over the months i wrote michelle 3 times offering to leave as i knew how you all were reacting to what i was posting. she said she wanted me to remain and so i remained and always tried to present quality posts which is not easy when you have people like minimalist combatting and dismissing everything you say. (by the way--minimalist is wrong).

he and others demonstrated quite well the scripture, 'men love darkness rather than light' which once again proved the validity of scriptures. which is something you will never get away from because archaeology only proves the Bible not disprove it, despite minimalist's and others claims.

anyways, i will be in seoul tomorrow so don't expect me to reply to your responses and sunday we shall see. this is a busy time for me now so have your fun, i win in the long run.

We all know that this is all about Arch. I have never responded to the guy, and never will.

I have tried very hard to just ignore him, but that has become impossible. Just look at his stats. Over 13% of the posts here are his. Almost 10 posts per day, and for every one there are 1, 2, or 3 responses. None of it worth reading. This nonsense is easily using a third to a half the board. You have to wade through all the BS to get to anything worthwhile.

And the nonsense is just going to escalate until something is done. The further this escalates, the more it draws people to the board who just want to argue a point that is just not worth arguing. It has nothing to do with archeology.

His antagonists are as much to blame as he is, but we know there is no reasoning with any of the combatants. This thread is a great example. Any plea for reason, any threat, just results in escalating the stupidity! The only way to restore order is to eliminate the source.

He is careful to stay well within the rules of engagement, but judge him not by his means, but by his results.

I know you want to respect his right to freedom of expression, but his abuse of that right has long since passed the point where it is infringing on the rights of others to enjoy the board.

Good job Barracuda. Like you I have just about given up posting because of all the bs going on. I may not be anywhere near as intelligent as most of the posters on this board, but when I ask a question or post a response that is just my opinion, I would like for it to be met with at least some respect. But guess I shouldn't feel bad, even the smart ones have been ignored or received some kind of run around answer. Now we have another one to add to the mess.
