Politicians.

Here's where you get off topic and off center....Keep it nice, keep it clean, no sniping, no flaming. After that, anything goes.

Since my last post here I decided to give it a rest until we were close to the PA primary, coming up in six days. I'm sure glad I did. As anybody interested in politics knows, these last 31/2 weeks have been ugly. Neither Dem. candidate has really laid a glove on the other one, but they have been busy shooting their own feet off.

So, tonight there is a Dem. debate in PA. Check local listing. This may be good for a change.

Sam Nunn, a retired Senator from Georgia, has endorsed Obama. Sam Nunn was a Democrat that I would have voted for, if he had ever run for President. A very honorable man, that one. 8)

Fox and CNN have both called the PA primary for Clinton. The margin may be closer than predicted.

Two seventh games tonight in the NHL.

:D
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

I know you'll like that Min. I have one son that is unhappy because the Nashville Predators are eliminated, but even if they were any good I wouldn't care. I was raised in the mid-west, where hockey has never been a sport. Not much I can do about that.

Enjoy! 8)

They never had a chance against Detroit.

What part of the Midwest? i grew up in South Bend. It always seemed to me that northern Indiana and southwest Michigan liked hockey nearly as much as the other big sports.

Hi Dannan. I was born and raised in a rural farming community in Greene County, in southern Indiana. I've kept my farming roots close to me since then. I went to college at Purdue - I know you know where that's at. :)

In my last year there I signed up for the Navy, as I was going to get drafted anyway, and wound up spending 91/2 yrs. there to pay back educational obligations. We then settled here in middle Tennessee.

We used to call South Bend, Gary, & Hammond "the region".

Beagle:
What is your opinion on the so called “Operation Chaos” where Republications are urged to vote in the Democratic primary’s for Hillary because she is “more beatable” in the general electron?
This, of course before Obama imploded with all the Rev. Wright stuff.

A lot of conservatives think that Limbaughs "Operation Chaos" is a good thing. I don't. The Dem. primaries, imo, are not a done deal. I think Clinton still has an outside shot at winning. If she had begun her campaign with a good caucus state strategy, this thing would already be over - with her as the winner.

If she winds up winning, I'll feel like taking out a contract on Rush. So far, I think she has gotten about a million crossover votes from Republicans. If it backfires, Rush is going to look pretty stupid. 8)

It will be fun to watch.
My own take on the whole picture, in spite of some reservations about the OT mentioned elsewhere, is related very well at Jeremiah 10:23
If we could survive 8 years of “Clinton the Lesser,” (Lecher?), then we should be able to do it again.
Just tighten your seat belts.
History is long.
And it is the old question:
“Do men make history or does history make men?” (or women!)

BTW:
I now that he has imploded, I have to agree with you on the beatability issue.
And the fact that she is just so hateable make the Old White Guy, in spite of his problems the classic "lesser of 3 evils."

I rather doubt that any die hard democrat or republican will switch sides. The election, as all elections, will be determined by the independents and how many of them are happy with the economy or the war on election day.

Obama has the ability to attract new voters. That's the one thing that he brings to the table over Hillary.

Not in the General.
You are right there.
It is in the maneuvering leading up to the General that is the current interest.
Isn’t it “ 20 percent die hard and 20 percent die hard and 60 percent undecided?”

It's actually about 32% die hard Dems, 32% die hard Reps, and 36% of the voters that may go either way. Included in the latter are the so-called Reagan Democrats, who vote Democratic until they are confronted with an extreme liberal who is anti-gun, and anti-military. Most of these people live in the south, but there are many in states like PA, Ohio, MI., etc.

The Clintons know this, ergo her "Annie Oakley" speech.
