But the story of Noah's Flood clearly describes a global-encompassing flood, so I guess he/she should have entitled the thread differently.

It's interesting that Ryan and Pitman cite circa 6000 B.C. for when the Med surged into the Black Sea basin, because mainstream dogma is that the sea level rose thousands of years before that with the end of the Ice Age, so how does one reconcile this conflict of theses?
