The show will be on tonight, but I suspect it won't be as good as I hope. You may know of a way for you to view it but I'm just not that savvy.
Maybe Min has some thoughts.
Dunno if Pando links are 'postable' here. If not, they can be distributed thru mail only: every intended recipient needs to be sent a mail message with that link in it.
I
know that links from
http://www.yousendit.com/ can be posted here. One post, multiple downloads (up to 100 with a free account). Saves work.

That really sounds good RS. I'm gonna see what Min thinks. No question about the fact that it would be great if this whole forum (worldwide) could watch the same show.

Oops....I missed this and I did see a lot of the Olmec show....which I thought stunk.
I will check out Yousendit, though.

The 100 meg file size limitation wouldn't help much. Most tv shows, even editing out the commercials and using a low recording speed come out around 450 megs per hour.

Yeah, that 100 meg file size limitation isn't very useful. Had that too. Signed up anyway. Sent smaller files around (works like a charm) up to 1GB total within a month. I think I racked that up inside 48 hours. Then YSI stopped functioning because I "had reached the trial limit". But at the same time I received an email from them offering another 'Lite' account trial. Which works perfectly and this time I have a limit of 2GB per file up to 200GB total!
That'll tide me over for a while.
And when this one expires maybe I'll get an offer for a free trial of a still 'heavier' account type?
And I always have Pando as a fallback of course.
Only that's much more cumbersome.

There was a lot of plain, old-fashioned, random speculation done. And pulling a 14-20 ton stone, 40 miles through a swamp, with ropes and levers is just stupid.

An interesting re-cap on where we are today.

A succession of recent discoveries has extended evidence of hominids reaching back from three million to beyond six million years ago, close to the estimated time of the divergence of the human and chimpanzee lineages. The hominid trail from two million years forward has been fairly well worked, by fossil hunters as well as geneticists and archaeologists tracking migrations out of Africa and across Eurasia. Researchers have determined that anatomically modern Homo sapiens emerged in Africa less than 200,000 years ago.

As that article says, the period between 2 million and 3 million yrs. ago is a "dark age" in fossil recovery. That million yr. period might enlighten us as to the true origins of later Homo species, including us.
You can't connect the dots when there are not enough dots.

Arch would tell us that their dating is all wrong!

Arch would also, I think, say that man walked with the dinosaurs. Just a few thousand years ago of course.

Yeah, he's got a much better system: the "C-4 system"!

Thanks for the yousendit info. I was never a fan of Pando since it attaches to your browser and "phones home" everytime you are online. And sometimes it got busy, stealing bandwidth and one is never quite sure what was going on. I usually uninstalled it immediately after getting a download from Min and I would recommend everyone do the same.
As for the time line of Hominids, is it the concensus of this board that OOA is the correct hypothesis?
