Because I'm in the UK, I'm usually well into my day when you guys generally come on stream. But I think some of you may have a habit of checking your emails before cleaning your teeth, let alone having a coffee and starting to feel somewhat human again. And while in this pre-human state, some of you reply to my earlier posts and - how can I put this - it sometimes feels like being snapped at by a grouchy old man, particularly when you've read the post too quickly through your blurry, sleep-filled eyes and got the wrong end of the stick.

I'm not naming any names - you know who you are!
Take note boys! In this medium that lacks the character of voice and the hints of body language, a wise piece of advice is to read twice and answer once, thoughtfully.

So please have your coffee/tea, smile at the day and then go for it.

With appreciation from your friendly Administrator

I honestly have no idea what she's talking about, but I'll try not to sound grumpy henceforth. Sometimes sarcasm doesn't play well in the written text either, so if I say something that sounds really stupid it's probably that. (or I'm just really stupid)

Great game strategy.

N Y kept rotating the defensive line on every play so no one got tired.
That last hit on Brady in the 4th qtr was by a rookie that had the energy of a 1st qtr player because he was rested.

Brady was sacked or hit a record number of times.
(Granted, he was not at 100 percent.)
But late in the game he just wasn’t protected.

Combine that with a “Keep their offense off the field by stretching out our offensive time on field as much as possible” strategy, was just a plain brilliant game plan.

The Pats stayed with the “keep the starters out there as long as they last, because they are the best,” philosophy. That philosophy may have had it’s day. The difference between 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd in a position is getting pretty slim.
NY realized that it is a hard game that can just wear you down. The kept throwing fresh bodies out there.

It will be interesting to see if the unlimited substitutions will continue to be allowed.

No worry there KB. American football is derived from soccer, where free substitutions are not allowed. So free substitutions are an integral part of the game.

Anyway - we now go from the Super Bowl to Super Tuesday. I've already voted and I'm going to watch the other sport today. You can't beat politics! :D

My boy, Edwards, dropped out of the race after I voted for him. Now, I'm learning how to spell O-b-a-m-a.

My guy, Thompson, dropped out after I gave him a couple thousand dollars. All I have to show for it is a very bad picture of me with 6' 5" Thompson. I'm only 5' 10" in my shoes.

Obama is a really exciting candidate. But I'm a die hard fiscal conservative (although I have a lot of socially liberal views). I voted for Obama today, only as an anti-Hillary vote. Tennessee is a crossover state, and I won't vote that way in the fall. But anyway, I gave your guy some help today.

Er - has the board been having trouble? I've been unable to access it for a couple of days, although obviously it's worked this time.

By the way, Digit. No need to answer that email - as you can see I've managed to log on okay today.

Yes, WA, the board had a little meltdown there. Not knowing is the hard part. I was able to communicate with Min via email to find out how things were going.

Min has a thread on "email" in the main forum. Check it out. :D

http://gawker.com/371826/the-nude-first-lady-of-france
Carla Bruni, who recently married noted ladies' man Nikolas Sarkozy and became the First Lady of France, used to be a model. A naked model. A nude—and relatively tasteful—portrait of Bruni by the photographer Michel Comte is up for sale at Christie's in April. The press duly reported on the upcoming sale, but there's been an admirable sense of maturity about it across the board. By contrast, imagine the prospect of a nude Hillary Clinton portrait surfacing. Or not. The Bruni photo is expected to sell for about $4,000, but you can see it for free, after the jump. NSFW, although it is art.
What can you say about the French? Oh well...clicking on the link is not safe for children, even if it is art.
