Granted, but with the qualification that the Arabic language predates Islam.
The problem with so many fundamentalist religions, like some of Islam today, is that you take a 1500 year old theology and try to live it in the modern world, which requires that either you create a state 1500 years behind the times or start making compromises.

A fundamentalist Christian once accused me of bearing the 'racial guilt', what ever that is, for the death of the Christ because of my Jewish background. I told him the 'Ities' did it, and that in any case, I was a bit too young to remember it.
