My wife is 4'11", 95 lbs. My now 6'2" son was 9.5 lbs at birth. No C section - no problem! Of course, she was mad at me for the longest time ...

Where I was born Mayo there was a saying that if the wife had the first child, and the husband had the second, there would be no third!

The Cucuteni were matriarchic. I dunno what they did with their dead, but at their most southern city, Varna, they did leave us a 5200 BP graveyard.

Last I saw, 75 males with 75 females. The females averaged into their early 40's, a longevity not seen again until the late 19th century. Its noteworthy as well, that when patriarchy is in power, men die in battle, are buried in the field, so the graveyards in town are full of widows. But not at Varna.

I have not read of any reports of kids in the graves. We would expect less childhood mortality with women in power, but this is curious. We'd also expect them to have competent midwives who'd induce labor long before a neonate got so big as to require epesiotomy in the era before antibiotics.

Au Contraire, the women over 40, unlike now, were mostly dead. Those under forty, like say, 19, didnt die in childbirth, and got to live on for many more years of useful service in bed.

The Cucuteni lived on the West coast of the Black Sea for 4000 years. You know anyone that kept it together longer since then? I mean 'together', not some buncha dumbfucks in the jungle.
