Thanks for all your input, I have now installed Firefox and NOD 32 ESET Smart Security package.

Already, I love Firefox. I was immensely relieved that it automatically imported my Favourites (bookmarks) menu as mine resembles, in size, the Library of Alexandria just before the Christians razed it to the ground, and so I wasn't looking forward to having to reconstitute it.

Firefox seems to be faster than IE and the screens even seem clearer (or is it my imagination?) and their Fast Dial add-on gets me to my favourite sites even quicker. Another of their useful add-ons is Foxmarks, which means you can access your bookmarks from any computer - great for me when I want to chat to you guys from work and I need to access some research! There are also special security add-ons at no extra cost.

I'll let you know how I get on with ESET. So far, I approve of it not slowing down my computer loading up in the morning. With McAfee - as War Arrow says, it's like a big dog - it seemed to take forever to settle itself down in front of the fire in the morning, and nothing else was allowed to happen until it did!

I've been using Firefox for some time Ish and it does seem to be pretty good.
