Of course, can you blame me? Your wild :D dangerous :D and radical ideas threaten my entire (apparently racist) worldview.

That was sarcasm by the way. Just in case it isn't obvious.

Hope you guys had your shields fully up and charged.
It will be a cold day before I click some random link from a first time poster. That's riskier than cruising the Haitian "red light" district.

Ah yes! Racism, like when I pointed out that the number of immigrants in prison exceeds the percentage of their representation in British society.
Racism WA is nine times out of ten used as an excuse when your opponent has lost the argument.
It takes the place on a computer of being shouted at!

Roy.

Actually, Mike's Ancient America and Mesoamerican pages have been around for awhile.

HOWEVER, (yes, bold and underlined) Monk makes a more than excellent point. So when in doubt, Google!

I'm somewhat familiar with Rugeri's page-had it bookmarked in the past-very much MOR.

As to not clicking strange links-even more nonsense-the day I have to be paranoid of strange links is the day I drop my machine from the #2 Road bridge into the muddy Fraser River.

Are you saying the warning about strange links is nonsense or am I misreading you?

Yes it's nonsense-are we to be afraid of surfing the net now?

I remember when I first logged on to the net one of the first parts of a new website I looked at was the Links page to see where it led and so on and so on and so on for hours sometime.

Ten years later some people seem to live in fear-and nothing shrinks a person's perspective like fear. :(

Well.....a good anti-virus program is a must.

Its not fear Sam. Its the shear hatred I feel when I need to take even ten minutes to purge out some idiot's crap malware code. Its a waste of my time, and my hours are not cheap. If you can deal with it, go for it.

About Mr. Ruggeri's link -
I personally feel that if some guy whom I don't know from Adam wants to post a slap on someone else ideas, then offer no explanation other than a link to some random webpage don't expect me to go lurching across the web, driving up his hit counter to investigate.

Its only courteous to at least introduce yourself or provide some summary or introduction about WHY I should spend my time looking at the random web page. I did a google search and only found the same random link on other archaeology forums so it sure looked like spam to me as I could find no discussion. And even now, 11 posts later I still do not know what his post was about.

Again-good point there's a lot of recycled who-knows-what out there.

Early 1960s the Houston Museum of Natural History had a head on display on the lawn outside. It was a mature negroid face with a cap or helment. Talked to the director as a young geology major interested in how negroids came to cental America. He brushed me off saying that these were overweight nobles or kings who had eaten too much.
