You OK, Roy?

Here's where you get off topic and off center....Keep it nice, keep it clean, no sniping, no flaming. After that, anything goes.

I've got a Droid X because the first p-o-s my son convinced me to buy had a keyboard so small that I couldn't use it and a screen so small I couldn't read it without getting my glasses and by the time I did that I had missed the effing call anyway.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Timber houses are not favoured in the UK min, God knows why not, but by rebuilding over the years we have been able to build to suit ourselves.
My wife has got fed up with the laundry machines in the kitchen so I'm in the throws of converting an extension into a utility room.
We have added a conservatory, a garden shed, a greenhouse, two largish workshops, a car port, a veranda at front and rear, garden gates, paths, drainage, a new kitchen, a second drive way, outside lighting, re-wired and re-plumbed, new doors and windows and central heating.
All the furniture is built in, including wardrobes, display cabinets and book cases, I even built our bed!
Plus hundreds of trees and shrubs.
Save for the gardening/landscaping bits I have a brother and a brother-in-law like that.
It's driving me mad with jealousy!

My bro (re-)built TVRs, Lancias, WWII military vehicles, his own '68 Bentley, a second floor on his house (in the US that would be a third floor! ...colloquialism! ), where he subsequently built his own designed 4 man hovercraft, and currently he's (re-)building his own second house/cottage in the northern French countryside...
My bro-in-law (re-)built his own discotheques and restaurants in Spain (5), 2-and-a-half of his own houses in NL, 50's Aston Martins (DB2/4), MG's, and a '28 Bentley Blower replica, and a gorgeous classic 7 meter (22') launch...
Talk about woodwork!
The wife does the hard work of designing and leaves the easy part of making it all to me!
I comiserate with both of you...

He sounds like a man after my own heart.
