Re: Halley's Comet --> Famine
“At Mohenjo-daro on the Indian subcontinent, archaeologists discovered a devastated city.
The marks of the catastrophe - melted stone walls - clearly pointed to an explosion comparable with a nuclear bomb. “
If that is the level of reporting we can expect from an easily accessible well excavated and recorded site what does it say about the rest of the report ?

Re: Halley's Comet --> Famine
It's nothing their own literature, put into written form well previous to the atomic age, doesn't describe, you know. But why let minor details like that stop you ?
You can find the same sort of vitrified stone building stones in Scotland.

Re: Halley's Comet --> Famine
Not that the nuclear suggestion has any credibility but have you seen Mohenjo -daro , does it look like it was hit by a nuclear srike ?
Have you seen the vitrification ,do you realise it is not part of the city but supposedly associated with sand in an area where pottery was dumped ?
More to the point vitrification is found elsewhere not just in Scotland but it doesn't indicate anything nuclear or cometary ,it can be achieved by fire , in those cases where vitrification is found it is usually associated with the ramparts of hill forts where wood was combined with stones ,the vitrification is a ressult of the combination being fired ,either deliberately or enemy attack .

Re: Halley's Comet --> Famine
"Sounds like swamp gas all over again. "
And that sounds exactly the sort of reply we have come to expect when you are unable to face up to the facts .
"“At Mohenjo-daro on the Indian subcontinent, archaeologists discovered a devastated city.
The marks of the catastrophe - melted stone walls - clearly pointed to an explosion comparable with a nuclear bomb. “
Is nonsense and vitrification has a perfectly simple explantion .

Re: Halley's Comet --> Famine
And you, Sir -- by leaving the off-the-chart radiation levels of said vitrified rock walls out of your disingenuous "explanation" -- are . . . how to put this nicely (?) . . . demonstrating, once again, your utter cluelessness.
Re: Halley's Comet --> Famine
There are no "off the chart radiation levels " at Mohenjo -daro or any of the vitrified hill forts in Scotland . If you had a clue you might produce the evidence instead of relying on your fanatsy sources .
Re: Halley's Comet --> Famine
It is certainly nonsense to suggest Mohenjo-Daro was "destroyed" by a mass explosion - ditto Scotland.
And since we have few records from the period it is folly to assert epoch changing famine or plague wiped out Western Europe in the 6th century.

Re: Halley's Comet --> Famine

Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Notice, however, that the books are different but the faith in them is identical

Re: Halley's Comet --> Famine
uniface,
It was not nuclear war at Mohenojo Daro,
and it was not impact that formed Scotland's vitrified forts.
There is abundant literature by Indian scientists on impact in India.
(By the way, it is not my task in life to provide it to you.)
There is abundant literature on Scotland's vitrified forts.
(and another by the way, it is not my task in life to provide that to you either.)
(I'd appreciate it if the rest of you kept in mind how many confused people there are out there.)

Mohenjo Daro was cooked by the infra red from an impactor's air detonation, possibly by a fragment of Comet Encke in 1628 BCE.
TMK, you are correct about the vitrified forts.
You are simply wrong about the 536-540 climate collapse, and there is abundant refereed literature on it.

E.P. -- Kindly note that I do not maintain that it was Impact that produced the vitrification.
