Hello, Arch. We meet at last. Just to set my stall out, I'm not going to be drawn into this argument as I have neither the desire nor the qualifications.
no need for you to de drawn intothis as this is standard procedure with marduk. there was a real sensible lady who posted here from time to time, RK for old timers, and they went at it tooth and nail for awhile.

marduk seems to love to make outlandish statements to get people riled up and into an argument so he can say what he wants without having to provide any shred of evidence.

he takes advantage of the lack of information to make conclusions and statements anyone can see through yet there is always a need to post counter evidence to keep the record straight with him. the eden thread is again the prime example.

but i would love to hear some more on the kings list but without the conclusions he brings that it destroys the Bible. it doesn't but the information would be helpful if he would restrict himself to just providing information and not his anti-christian rhetoric.

you really are a total incompetant aren't you Arch
anyone who reads through this thread can see that at every stage you have bought nothing to the table. you have no knowledge of Sumerian history and have not provided one single link to back up any of your claims
whereas its clear to see that I have a very extensive knowledge of this culture and have provided links the whole way through
what is your major malfunction
now if you don't mind stop personally attacking me for no reason lying about my motives and generally acting like a complete TROLL
one more ridiculous attempt at derailment and one more lie from you about me and I will happily seek legal action starting with your server company to restrict your internet access and ending with sueing your ass off for defamement
have you got that
:?:
is that perfectly clear

michelle i would like to report this please and ask if this is acceptable behavior? i do not think i said anything that warrants this kind of reply or substantiates this charge.

i realize marduk has a lot of knowledge of the sumerians but that doesn't qualify him to have sole access to a website nor expect not to be challenged, or to have rule over who has access to the internet.

i do not take this as a joke as i participated when he made claims that affected my field and felt i responded with in the rules and within the scope of scholarship.

i had no problem if he stuck to the sumerians but when he made outlandish claims i needed to post. i am not looking to escalate anything nor am i asking that he gets banned, not my place to do so but i would like to participate without being threatened.

Wow... and this is rare, but I have to agree with you, Arch. That was way over the line.

Arch's actions recently have been more than actionable

here are 5 links to read up on the sumerian kings lists for yourselves. as i read these sites, i got the impression that the Sumerians pumped up their history for their own egos sake or for the bolstering of their people's egos.

i have no doubt that some were historical figures but not all. as for the time of their reigns, i don't buy into the majority but some may be valid:
Now wouldn't that be comfortable

No. Although I have been steadfastly ignoring you for a month or so, marduk, I was tipped off by someone else to read this thread so I did.
I repeat, your threats are way over the line of behavior that I have seen on many (but not all) message boards. Arch and I have had some bitter disputes, as you well know, without ever getting quite that low.

Once again, I'm sorry if you don't like the message but, life is tough all over.

I shall now merrily resume ignoring you.

Marduk,

You are way off base. You've been warned before and now I am done. I appreciate your work, but I have had it with the triades and childish fits.

I am not biblically minded but still eager to know which two?

Iddin-Dagan 25 1500 25 2081bce Se
Išme-Dagan 20 1200 20 2056bce Se

of course knowing which two is only half the story

Dagan by the way is the akkadian word for Totality
used here it signifies a god
anyone have any idea who the canaanite god of totality is
that way you might figure it out on your own
or alternatively you could read the first sentence of moby dick to figure out who one of them is also known as
http://www.princeton.edu/~batke/moby/moby-1.html
they are father and son (thats a clue too)
they don't live in Ur of the Chaldees (thats a bigger clue)
bet Arch is screaming right now
"nooooooooooooo"

Well, we started to have a conversation about this some time back, but Arch just wouldn't let up ...

That Semitic dynamic duo, father and son. Somewhat a bad time to be king though given the climate problems in that area at that time.
