yes they are for the people of Israel but one good thing, you are reading the Bible to find those scriptures or looking them up.

why don't you try the New Testament where you have less to pick on and mock??

Let's finish off the dissection of the Old Testament before we move on to that committee-driven, politically-inspired, male-oriented, pile of dung known as the NT.

One thing at a time or it will get too confusing.

Perchance did you get to see The Gospel of Judas on National Geographic last night. I don't know if that is available where you are but it was pretty good science.

well then let's get this back to topic then---

some evidence for the flood:
1. fossils found in one time period all killed at the same time
2. much evidence, though dated differently, for several 'great dyings' again a separate 'great dying' mentioned when discoveries were made in those oregon caves just published recently. that makes about 4 or 5 so far thati have read about.
3. scientists in the last couple years have confirmed that all species of dogs have come from one original pair.
4.all civilizations have a flood story. the only way possible for that to happen is if the story came down from the original survivors (noah and his family).
and so on

No one is saying there haven't been floods.

What people are saying is that is was caused by the melting of ice and not some pissed off god who wanted to exterminate humanity and failed at that too.

thatis the problem and why removing God is sopopular. If you remove God from the picture, you remove punisment for sin. thus if punishment is removed, then a person is allowed to live any life they choose without guilt.

it is not hard to see the motivation, what is hard is for people to accept and live by the truth.

well alright, now we are getting to the reason I came on this forum.

Can someone please help me.
What do you look for in the stratum layer that shows there was a huge flood, and is there evidence.

I did do an exhausting search on-line but had trouble finding
good info. I swear I saw it on National Geographic or something
like that. And now I cant find it.

At least you two sort of agreed on this point, just a wee bit?

the problem here is , as proven by ryan, pittman and ballard,much evidence that pertains to flood evidence is buried deep. it is highly unlikely that man will come upon a lot of it and if they do, they will mistakenly interpret that evidence as for a local not a global flood.

Dave Barry is a fairly well known American humorist....sometimes his humor gets a little too close to the truth!

i always have enjoyed dave barry and yes there are christians who, sadly, would respond in that manner. unfortunately, the ideas of Christ sometimes do not penerate deep enough to make any impact.

No, not really. Arch believes in a biblical flood which covered the entire earth because god, a psychotic mass murderer as he is depicted, got pissed off.

Forgetting the Black Sea flood for now, I envision mankind driven to near extinction by the meltdown of the ice age and the rising of the ocean levels by some 300-400 meters. Our own mythology shows shared memories of such events by cultures which could not possibly have known about each other if the standard line of human history is followed. And of course, the bible version is not even worth discussing.

mythologyis not fact nor is it scientific, so why don't you follow your own rules?

not enough water in the ice to do cover that much depth. you do not even know if there reallywas an ice age. why don't you start talking truth instead of scientific mumbo-jumbo.
