Why don't you? The bible is mythology on the highest level. The bible is not fact, nor is it scientific. You can prove nothing without your precious bible to back you up. It proves nothing. It is not accepted as a factual book. You always try to discredit authors because they have an agenda. What about the authors of the bible? They surely had an agenda, but since it agrees with your agenda you accept it without question. Just as you say Finklestein and the others lie to disprove the bible, the authors of the bible are as guilty as they are. The byzantine empire compiled the bible. They were romans. As corrupt and hedonistic as the romans were, you think they saw the light and became saints overnight? No the whole foundation of christianity was built on lies and with political motivations. It's all smoke and mirrors. It's all deciept and corruption. You believe in a myth. The world is full of gullible people. What gets me is that even when given proof they ignore it, are blind to it, dismiss it. They'd rather believe in a fairy tale so they can think that when you die that's not the end. I got news. When you die it's over. Nothig else after that. No heaven, no hell. No angelic choir welcoming you to sit by jesus' side. It's just over. Spark goes out. Scares the hell outa people so they make up fairy tales so they can sleep at night. They even give themselves loopholes so they can "sin" and then ask some make believe entity for forgiveness and then everything's allright. You, arch, have offered no proof, no evidence, no facts and yet you say you have proved your point. You are so deluded. You are so blind. You are so childish in your belief in fairy tales. Your problem is that you look at every other culture's mythology as if it were a myth but you look at your own as the literal word of god. You really need to do something about that ethnocentrism of your's.

The reason they look at other cultures history as mythology is because they hold it up to the Bible and see how it stands. If it don't jive, it didn't happen, how simplistic can you get. The thing is, the Bible [i]can't [/i]hold up to history as we know it. They only used those parts that said what they wanted people to believe. All else was considered false teachings and thrown out. Now after nearly 1700 years, or more, people are beginning to read those books and wondering "What in the hell happened and Why are we believing it?" The truth shall win out in the end.

On this I thoroughly agree. Religion has destroyed more history than any other single entity. For this reason alone people should refuse to have anything to do with it.
